Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Maruti Suzuki has unveiled the Victoris SUV in the country. The Victoris is still an Arena product, and as such, it is positioned above the Brezza in the company’s line-up. The carmaker is using the tagline ‘Got It All’ for the Victoris, and the feature list strongly backs up the claim. Maruti Suzuki will start taking orders for the SUV soon, followed by the announcement of prices soon. The flagship Arena product – the Victoris, will give a tough fight to the mid-size SUV space.
Always questionable in this aspect, Maruti Suzuki has topped the cards here with a 5-star BNCAP crash test rating. The Victoris is equipped with 6 airbags as standard. For the first time, Maruti Suzuki is offering Level-2 ADAS in the Indian market, and it starts with the Victoris.
The ADAS suite includes automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with curve speed reduction, lane keep assist, high beam assist, rear cross traffic alert, blind spot monitor with lane change alert and more.
The Victoris has disc brakes at all ends, along with an electronic parking brake with auto-hold function.
Maruti Suzuki Victoris: Design and Colors
The overall styling is basically attractive, with no elements over-designed. The front end has an e-Vitara-inspired face. It uses a blacked-out lower-half with the upper part covered with body paint. The narrow LED headlamps are connected by a thin chrome ribbon in the middle. Also, the bumper houses the foglamps, which are a bit high-set.
On the side, it manages to give its length quite easily for a large quarter glass. It also gets 17-inch aero-cut alloy wheels with a turbine-like design. At the rear, it is equipped with integrated LED tail lamps, which are made sporadically for the glow pattern, which is different from other Marutis on sale.
Talking about the dimensions, the Victoris is 4,360 mm long, 1,655 mm wide and 1,795 mm tall. The wheelbase is 2,600 mm. Talking about the colour options, the Victoris is available in 10 (3 dual-tone and 7 monotone) colour options, including two new colour options – Mystic Green and Eternal Blue.
Maruti Suzuki Victoris: Interior and Features
The Maruti Suzuki Victoris features a 3-tier dashboard with black and ivory dual-tone interior, along with a soft-touch instrument panel. Moreover, textured seat upholstery and piano black accents add to the premium in-cabin experience. The Victoris gets a more practical setup for boot space, even in its S-CNG guise, as the CNG cylinder is moved under the floor.
In terms of features, the Victoris gets a larger 10.1-inch SmartPlay Pro-X touchscreen infotainment unit, which is paired with an 8-speaker Infinity sound system with 5.1 channel Dolby Atmos surround sound. Another display on the dashboard is the 10.25-inch instrument cluster – a first in any Maruti Suzuki car till date. The Hyundai Creta rival gets 64-colour ambient lighting and a PM2.5 air filter.
Maruti Suzuki Victoris: Specifications
The Maruti Suzuki Victoris borrows its powertrain and drivetrain choices from the Grand Vitara. Two powertrain choices are being offered – a 1.5-litre NA petrol motor and a 1.5-litre strong-hybrid setup.
The 1.5-litre NA petrol engine produces 103 Hp of power and 139 Nm of peak torque. It has two transmission options – 5-speed MT and 6-speed AT. It also offers the option of a factory-fitted CNG kit. Maruti Suzuki is also offering the option of an AWD layout with automatic transmission. The All Grip Select system has a multi-terrain mode selector with Auto, Snow, Sport and Lock drive modes and Hill Descent Control.
The 1.5-litre strong-hybrid setup comes directly from the Grand Vitara and produces 92.5 hp and 122 Nm of power. It is mated to an e-CVT gearbox.
Maruti Suzuki Victoris: Mileage
The 1.5-litre NA petrol motor returns 21.18 km/l with the manual gearbox and 21.06 km/l with the automatic gearbox. However, in AWD format it drops to 19.07 km/l, while the CNG variants are claimed to get a mileage of 27.02 km/kg. The powered-hybrid variants will return a mileage of 28.65 km/l.
